The Mountain Mutts

Hunter, Deja Vu and Jakob are aptly and affectionately called the Mountain Mutts. These three hiking pups accompany their human, Renee on her hikes all over Anchorage and beyond. We did two different sessions for these three pups so that’s why below you’ll see summer and winter weather! Our summer session was up at Arctic Valley. I was a bit nervous about the weather as it looked a bit stormy and it did end up raining on us, but I’m so glad we stuck with it! The view from the top of the ridge was just gorgeous and I loved taking photos of these three in front of the overlook.

Our second session was up in Hatcher Pass. Renee told me that she knew of a hike that was less traveled and would be good for photos, so I followed her lead! I love getting to explore new places and this was an awesome find! It had snowed about an inch or two which was perfect. Just enough to make it look like winter but not so much that we were wading our way through to get to good photo spots!
